Our first visit to the Beach in Saudi

Date: 13 February 2015

Therea are a few beaches around Al-Jubayl a.k.a Jubail area since this petrochemical-based city is located near the coastal side of Persan Gulf.

Along the coastal area near Jubail Balat, there are also sandy beaches but Malaysian rarely go there because of lack of picnic facility such as toilet etc. Although most of the pretty beaches that are "picnic-friendly" are located near the Royal Commission area, there are many other beaches located throughout Jubail.

A few of the beaches that I have came across is Al-Nakheel Beach, Fanateer Beach and also some other beaches near Dareen Sector - as an example. For this update, I am going to share about our visit to Al-Nakhell Beach. (Note - Fanateer Beach do not have sandy beach, but the place is pretty - I will blog about the area later)

The beach has dedicated "Family Only" area where single mens are prohibited to stroll along the area. The beach has basic amenities such as public toilet, 3 big children playground areas, benches, fresh water pipes to wash off your feet from the sand and also baloon jumping play area.

Families come to the beach to either stroll along the sandy area, bring their children to play at the playground, play football or any kind of balls at the grassy area or even bar-BQ-ing.

One interesting practise by some of the Arabs is by covering the place where they hang-out or 'lepaking' with canvas. 1 canvas for each family. For big groups, they even segregated into men-only area and women-only area canvas. This practise facilitated these people to maintain their privacy even at the public area.

We brought Faiq and Baby to play and the playground (children and also the jumping baloon playground) and then after allow them to play at the sandy beach. The water is super cold as it is entering spring time in Saudi. We had such a great time at the beach. Such beautiful scenery - MashaAllah. Thank you Allah for this memories.

Selfie by an Arab guy. Haha he offered to take our family picture. But he took selfie with us instead. Funny guy!

This guy insisted us to take picture of him with our children. But using our camera instead of his.

At the baloon jumping area. Payed 10 Riyal each for the children to play. They have very steep slides at the baloon jumping area. The slopes used for children here are very steep - I gueesed nearly 70%. peeuuiihhh. look at Faiq's face while sloping down - he looked scared. Haha precious! But he keep playing many many times after that.

Some family gathering. They bar-BQ-ed and the smell is so tasty.
