We went to Heritage Festival and productive families held at Fanateer South Beach. There were lots of people at the bazaar. The spring festival has actually started since 15th March and ended on 31st March 2015.
The event has two main parts which are
1- Productive families bazaar where Saudian especially women got to sell various items which are homemade. To me, this is a good opportunity for saudian women as they are now encouraged to work which somewhat could help raise their respective familes income. Plus to kill their boredom of only staying at home, care for children and go shopping.. hehe
The item sold ranges from homemade household knitted items, women cloths/dresses which are not abaya but the ones that saudi women normally wear at home, various saudian foods - , cookies and delicacies, abaya, henna drawings, jewelleries, parfums, makeups - the Saudian ladies really really really like beauty-based products as a lot of booths are actually make up/henna/jewellery/parfum based. I personally loved tasting the Saudian food sold at the food bazaar.
2- Saudi Heritage area which exhibites the various Saudi culture. There are typical ancient Saudi house, typical Saudi clothings, Saudi crafts - get to see in real life how they make saudi crafts and also some saudi historical pictures. I learnt quite a lot from this visit.
There are also children play centre and a big hang out area in the middle of the festival. Since the festival is located near the beach, my children loves the sand play the most. Here are some pictures for my safe keepings. Some pictures at the booth areas are shaky as they do not allow picture takings.
Q-ing to enter the car park area. There are lots of cars since it is weekend in Saudi and the parking place is monitored by Saudian police.
The Productive families bazaar area. Booths are placed in big tents. There are nearly 10 superbig tents placed all around the area.

I looked scared aint't I? haha the eagle is too big hokey and doesn't look tame - as if it wanna bite you.
